Solar Panels

Renewable Energy - Solar PV

Beaumont Plumbing and Heating have engineers qualified to install Solar Thermal, ground source and air source heat pumps.

Solar Heating

Solar Thermal uses the radiation from the sun to heat panels on the roof. The solar gain is then used to heat stored hot water. Solar thermal might provide up to 70 percent of the average house's hot water needs.

Ground Source Heating

Ground source Heat Pumps, as the name suggests, use energy from the ground, Heat from the ground is absorbed at low temperatures into a fluid inside a loop of pipe (a ground loop) buried underground. The fluid then passes through a compressor that raises it to a higher temperature, which can then heat water for the heating and hot water circuits of the house. This requires a large area of garden/paddock or bore holes to accommodate the ground coils, but provides a more constant source of energy.

Air Souce Heating

An air source heat pump extracts heat from the outside air in the same way that a fridge extracts heat from its inside. It can get heat from the air even when the temperature is as low as -15° C. Heat pumps have some impact on the environment as they need electricity to run, but the heat they extract from the ground, air, or water is constantly being renewed naturally.

Wood Fuelled / Biomass Heating

Wood-fuelled heating systems, also called biomass systems, burn wood pellets, chips or logs to provide warmth in a single room or to power central heating and hot water boilers. Pellet burning bio-mass boilers are a suitable alternative to oil or electric heating. The modern pellet burners produce minimal ash with the need to clean waste limited and only burn on demand, unlike old solid fuel boilers which needed to be kept alight.
